Cathédrale de la Haute-Ville - Vaison la Romaine (84)

Restoration of the covered area and installation of stained glass windows

The old cathedral was built in the 15th century overlooking a rocky escarpment in the old town. It dominates the Ouvèze river and the lower town.

This religious building has been listed as a Historical Monument, since 1994. This first phase of work is part of an overall restoration program for the roofs and walls of the former cathedral, which will last several years and whose phasing has been carried out in response to structural emergencies. These works have also been an opportunity to create and install contemporary artistic glass windows designed by Dominican Father Kim en Joong.
