Chapel of the Hôtel-Dieu - Lyon (69)

Restoration

Built in the 17th century, the chapel is part of the Grand Hôtel Dieu; only the western facade opens to the outside. It is a very good example of a baroque church in Lyon that only has three.
The interior is entirely covered with painted decorations, made in the 19th century, based on the 17th-century Baroque decor. This high-quality decoration, rich and colorful, gives the chapel its unique character.
Since 2009, the agency RL&A leads the restoration work of the interiors and the exterior of the chapel.
