Diagnostic and preliminary studies

First phase of a restoration operation, the preliminary study makes it possible to determine the intervention stance, as well as the building reconversion and valorization choices.Beyond the historical study, the preliminary study requires a field diagnosis. It defines the condition of the site. For this purpose, the RL&A agency possesses the material resources to carry out complete surveys. It is also supported by specialists: archaeologists, laboratories, consulting engineers. This study leads to a sanitary diagnosis of the building structures. A summing-up of conservation, programming and development issues is drawn up.
Following the diagnosis, the on-the-spot phase on a historical monument provides additional information on its history and archeology, thanks to a careful and vigilant presence in the field. RL&A ensures a good reading  of the building, respecting its history, personality and environment.
