The gardens of the Palais des Papes - Avignon (84)

Restoration of the gardens

The reorganization of the gardens of the Palais des Papes is part of a global reflection of the city of Avignon. It concerns the Palace and its circuit of visit, and the intramural city as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
The requalification of the space occupied by the pontifical gardens (Jardin du Pape, jardin du Palais et Verger Urbain V) is undoubtedly an issue and an added value for the entire site.
The party is to evoke the very rich history of the site by the restitution of spaces, atmospheres, uses. The project takes up the constants of the site: water, pergolas, boundaries, vegetation, and the exceptional scale of the eastern facade of the Palace.
